Rosemary Missier is an acrylic artist living in Melbourne, Australia. She began her artistic journey self-learning and had her work featured in online corporate magazines and newsletters in India. Her inborn love for art made her pursue a course on Art Theory from Penn State University and a course on acrylic painting from RMIT University. She started with traditional painting following Renaissance Masters like Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo and Vermeer. She drew her inspiration for her works from Johannes Vermeer which were exhibited at the student group exhibition in RMIT.She still uses tonal realism and adopts grisaille techniques in her portraits.Since 2012, her love for figuratives has steered her works from graphite to acrylics with a focus on a narrative and bold colours. \r\n \r\nRosemary has recently expanded the choice of mediums and techniques to include inks,markers, facilitating the fine tuning of skills in an exciting and bold way.She has exhibited at various art shows,online galleries and galleries in Melbourne. She accepts commissions in between her graphic design and fabric painting services . When she is not painting at her home studio, she lets the atmosphere of her randomly chosen venues to drive the subject of her loosely styled art classes to unleash her students\' creativity.
